Helgoland is the rock island in the German bight. The Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research has its Biological Station there. The strange tower is the water storage. We were in the restaurant Bunte Kuh (named after the ship which captured the infamous pirate Klaus Stoertebeker). Being also one of them I can´t complain. But the Trevi Fountain yesterday was too much for me. I started the sketch and soon gave up.
Today I finished the sketch by just adding any person who looked interesting. Even cars and Vespas. Bonus material: If you look close enough you can identify some parts of the TREVI FOUNTAIN.

Blue sky and a sunshine that makes you want to rather side in the shade. Noise from everywhere, people laughing, many different languages, the fountain water splashing: this is Rome.

Impressive Doorway and difficult to get in.
I joined an English tour and after two hours watching and gazing we entered the famous Sistene Chapel. Michelangelo spent years there. I felt reminded of the movie Angels and Demons.

Isola Tiberina, the island in Rome

On my walk through Rome I crossed the river Tiber, which is called Trevere in Italian. Coming back to my place I had the chance to sketch the Isola Tiberina.
